- Oct 15, 2026. Wells Fargo's tokenized deposit platform, built on Cosmos technology, is now live in production, its CFO said on the Q3 earnings call. Payments reach the beneficiary in 2 minutes or less, down from a day or two.
- Oct 15, 2026. Provenance, a chain built on Cosmos, holds $23.83 billion in tokenized real-world assets excluding stablecoins, 1.4x Ethereum's $17.07 billion. Only Canton holds more.
- Oct 13, 2026. MUFG, SMBC and Mizuho, Japan's three largest banks, back Project Pax, which uses Cosmos's IBC protocol for 24/7 cross-border stablecoin payments. Progmat and Datachain lead it, now in proof of concept.
- Oct 12, 2026. IDB Lab, the Inter-American Development Bank's venture arm, funds CBWeb3, a Cosmos IBC project for cross-border central bank money in Latin America. Cosmos tech powers more than 150 independent blockchains.
