Anthropic plans to file its IPO prospectus after Labor Day, targeting a public listing in late September or early October, according to reporting by The Information.
The AI safety company has not made an official announcement. The timeline means Anthropic would begin its roadshow with institutional investors in the weeks after the September 7 holiday, condensing the pre-listing phase into roughly four to six weeks. Most U.S. IPOs spend eight to twelve weeks between prospectus filing and market debut.
Anthropicbacked by Google, Salesforce, and others across multiple funding rounds totaling over $5 billion in disclosed capital, entered the AI race as a late entrant relative to OpenAI and other frontier labs. The company released Claude, its AI assistant, in 2023 and has since scaled usage through API access and a direct consumer platform. No valuation for the IPO has been disclosed.

The timing places Anthropic's listing window in the same quarter as other major tech offerings. The company has not yet engaged underwriters or selected an exchange, and prospectus language can shift materially through the SEC review cycle. A fall listing would make Anthropic one of the largest AI-native companies to enter public markets, though others including xAI and other frontier labs remain private or have taken alternative routes to capital.
The Information's report cites sources familiar with the process but Anthropic has not confirmed the dates or the plan publicly. Whether the company meets the post-Labor Day filing target remains subject to regulatory review and final board approval.
If Anthropic files on schedule and proceeds through the SEC process without material delays, the company would debut before the end of October. Any slip past early November would likely push the listing into 2027 due to typical year-end market conditions and fund rebalancing cycles.
