Uniswap has launched Pools.trade, a permissionless token creation tool on Robinhood Chain, according to an announcement on the Uniswap blog. The feature went live on August 5, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. UTC, building on Uniswap's existing protocol infrastructure deployed to the chain on July 1.

Pools.trade is a token launchpad rather than a new decentralized exchange deployment. The tool allows users to create and list tokens without permission or intermediary approval, routing launches through Robinhood Chain's network. Uniswap's core protocols have operated on the chain since July, with on-chain infrastructure for Pools.trade live since July 6.

Robinhood Chain is the cryptocurrency network operated by Robinhood Markets, the brokerage firm. Uniswap has positioned itself as a core liquidity provider for tokens launched on the chain, competing for share in what several exchanges have identified as an emerging segment for token creation infrastructure.

The permissionless model differs from traditional token launch platforms that require vetting or whitelist approval. Pools.trade allows any user to instantiate a trading pair and initial liquidity pool directly, with the launchpad handling pool creation and token registration. Uniswap has deployed similar infrastructure on other chains including Ethereum, Arbitrum and Polygon over the past two years.

Robinhood has positioned its blockchain as a retail-focused network with faster settlement and lower fees than mainnet Ethereum. Uniswap's deployment deepens the exchange's liquidity provider footprint on that network and gives Robinhood a native token creation mechanism without reliance on external platforms.

The launchpad carries no quantified metrics on expected volume or adoption at launch. Uniswap does not disclose user numbers or transaction forecasts for new product releases. The tool's uptake will depend on token issuers' willingness to route launches through Robinhood Chain rather than competing networks or launchpads.

The number that decides whether Pools.trade gains traction is the volume of tokens launched through the platform in its first 30 days relative to competing launchpads on other chains.
