Robinhood Chain generated $2.66 million in daily transaction fees on August 31, nearly triple the $1.087 million recorded the prior day, according to fee data tracked on DeFiLlama. Memecoin trading accounted for the majority of the spike.
Robinhood Chain launched July 1 as an Arbitrum Orbit chain, meaning it routes 10% of fee revenue back to Arbitrum. The chain has collected transaction fees across two distinct pools of activity: decentralized exchange trading and memecoin issuance on platforms like GMGN and Pons. Of the revenue generated on August 30 and 31, memecoin activity accounted for 88% of total fees, according to on-chain records.

The August 30-31 surge was the chain's highest recorded daily output since launch. Fee generation on Robinhood Chain had been climbing steadily since July, with the chain reaching measurable daily volumes by mid-August. The two-day total of $3.747 million in fees came from a concentrated burst of activity rather than sustained daily throughput at that level.
Memecoin launches on Arbitrum Orbit chains have drawn retail interest and rapid trading volume in recent months. Robinhood's integration with Uniswap provided liquidity infrastructure for token swaps. GMGN, a memecoin issuance platform, and Pons, another token launching service, were the primary sources of transaction volume during the peak days.
Arbitrum Orbit chains allow independent networks to build atop Arbitrum's sequencing and settlement layer while capturing their own fee economics. Robinhood's fee structure splits revenue between the chain operator and the parent Arbitrum network. The $2.66 million daily figure places Robinhood Chain's peak daily fees in line with or exceeding Base's transaction fees on comparable days, though Robinhood's baseline daily revenue remains significantly lower.
Memecoins generated $3.297 million of the $3.747 million in two-day fees, or 88%, while DEX trading accounted for the remainder. The concentration of activity in a single asset class and the narrow window of peak volume mean that sustaining daily rates near $2 million would require continued memecoin launches or expanded DEX adoption.
