Pineapple Financial has migrated more than $1 billion in residential mortgage records onto the Injective blockchain, creating onchain metadata-rich digital records tied to underlying loan files rather than repackaged securities. The company, listed on NYSE American under ticker PAPL, is executing a broader plan to tokenize its entire historical portfolio of more than 29,000 funded mortgages valued at more than $10 billion.

Mortgage markets process enormous volumes of debt, but ownership and servicing records remain fragmented across PDFs, email systems, and separate operational databases. Servicers, custodians, and counterparties currently reconcile information manually across multiple platforms. By anchoring each mortgage to a single verified record, the company aims to eliminate reconciliation delays.

Injective is a layer-1 blockchain focused on financial derivatives and real-world assets. The $1 billion tokenization places it among the leading layer-1 chains by total value of tokenized assets, according to the announcement. Pineapple's migration represents one of the largest deployments of real-world asset records to a single blockchain to date.
