PancakeSwap Infinity climbed to sixth place in 24-hour decentralized exchange trading volume, surpassing Hyperliquid Spot Orderbook with $149.4 million in volume versus $144.3 million, according to on-chain data from DefiLlama captured at 06:59 UTC on August 30.

The jump from ninth place the previous day shows a shift in ordering among the largest trading venues for spot and perpetual assets. PancakeSwap Infinity, which launched as an upgraded version of PancakeSwap's core trading infrastructure, moved into the top ten by volume after Hyperliquid Spot failed to maintain its ranking.

Hyperliquid Spot Orderbook, the on-chain spot component of the Hyperliquid ecosystem, has held significant volume share since its public launch. The $5.1 million spread between the two platforms is modest relative to their individual scales, indicating tightly competitive positioning in the mid-tier of the DEX space.

On-chain volume rankings shift daily as trading activity flows between venues based on liquidity depth, fee structures, and user preference. PancakeSwap, originally a Binance Smart Chain fork, has expanded beyond its base layer to support cross-chain swaps and derivatives trading through its Infinity product.

Daily volatility in decentralized finance metrics is common. PancakeSwap Infinity would need to maintain or grow its share amid competition from Uniswap, Curve, dYdX, and other established protocols that typically rank higher by volume to hold top-ten status.

The metric that decides whether this is durable volume migration is whether PancakeSwap Infinity sustains top-ten placement across the next seven days of trading.
