OpenAI hired Dali Rajic, the chief operating officer of cloud-security firm Wiz, as its new Chief Revenue Officer. Rajic will join OpenAI's leadership team after spending roughly 18 months at Wiz, where he oversaw operations as president and COO since February 2024.
Rajic's appointment comes as OpenAI reorganizes its executive ranks following the departure of Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser earlier this year. OpenAI is managing a $122 billion Series F funding round closed in February 2026, according to people familiar with the matter.
Wiz, founded in 2020, has grown to a $12 billion valuation through its cloud-native security platform. The company announced a $1 billion Series D in April 2024 and has since become one of the fastest-growing security startups. Rajic spent nine years at Cisco before joining Wiz, where he held leadership roles in product and go-to-market strategy. His background spans infrastructure security and enterprise software sales cycles.
OpenAI's Chief Executive Sam Altman has accelerated organizational changes across finance, sales, and product teams over the past year. The CRO role carries particular weight at OpenAI as the company scales sales to large enterprises and governments while competing with other AI labs for major deals. Revenue officer positions at large software and infrastructure companies typically oversee sales strategy, customer acquisition costs, and enterprise account management.
Rajic joins OpenAI as the company expands its commercial partnerships and works to increase per-customer revenue from existing clients. OpenAI has been negotiating multi-year contracts with major cloud providers and offering customized API pricing for Fortune 500 customers.
