MongoDB reported second-quarter revenue of $771.8 million, exceeding consensus estimates of $734 million and growing 30 percent year-over-year. The database software company raised its full-year fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to $2.92 billion to $2.96 billion, above prior expectations of $2.95 billion.
Adjusted earnings per share came in at $1.90, nearly double the prior-year figure of $1.00 and ahead of consensus estimates of $1.61. The company's non-GAAP operating margin expanded to 24 percent from 15 percent in the year-ago quarter, a 900 basis-point improvement.
MongoDB's Atlas cloud database platform generated $565.9 million in segment revenue, up 29 percent year-over-year and beating analyst expectations of $552.4 million. The company's Enterprise Advanced and Other segment grew 36 percent to $181.2 million. Subscription revenue totaled $747.1 million, up 31 percent and surpassing the consensus estimate of $710.7 million.
Contracted revenue remaining performance obligations, a measure of future billings, reached $797.3 million, up 73 percent year-over-year. The company posted free cash flow of $137.6 million, nearly double the prior-year quarter's figure. Management cited these results in the announcement to justify raising full-year guidance across revenue and profitability metrics.

MongoDB also launched Atlas Managed MCP Server during the quarter and moved MongoDB Search and Vector Search capabilities into general availability within its Enterprise Advanced product tier. The additions target large organizations building generative AI applications with the company's document database.
For the third quarter, MongoDB guided for revenue of $756 million to $761 million against consensus of $745 million, and adjusted EPS of $1.57 to $1.61 versus expectations of $1.54. Operating income guidance of $152 million to $156 million also exceeded analyst estimates of $149 million.
MongoDB's margins expanded while revenue growth accelerated, with free cash flow generation doubling year-over-year and cRPO climbing 73 percent. The company has posted three consecutive quarters of revenue acceleration, moving from 27 percent growth in Q4 to 30 percent in Q2. If MongoDB sustains this pace through Q3 and Q4 as current guidance implies, annual revenue growth will exceed 28 percent, a rate last seen in fiscal 2024.
