Fifth Third Bancorp began dual trading on NYSE Texas on August 27, maintaining its primary listing on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker FITB. The bank's shares trade under the same ticker on both venues.
The dual listing follows Fifth Third's earlier move to primary-list on NYSE in June 2026. NYSE Texas, a separate equities exchange operated by Intercontinental Exchange, has been adding listings from established companies since its launch earlier this year. The secondary venue operates under the same trading rules and market hours as NYSE but is domiciled in Texas.
Fifth Third, headquartered in Cincinnati, is one of the largest regional banks in the United States by assets. The bank had approximately $207 billion in total assets as of the most recent quarter. Other major financial institutions have explored multi-venue trading strategies to reduce concentration risk and enhance execution flexibility.
According to the Form 8-A filing, Fifth Third filed the necessary paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission to establish the dual listing. The bank's shares began trading on NYSE Texas on the same day the Form 8-A became effective.

Dual listings remain uncommon among large U.S. bank holding companies. Most maintain a single primary exchange while some smaller or recently public firms use secondary venues for increased market participation. Fifth Third's move comes as exchanges compete for listings by offering alternative trading venues within regulatory frameworks.
The dual listing does not change Fifth Third's corporate governance, voting structure, or fundamental business operations. Shareholders on both venues hold identical securities with equal rights and economic exposure.
If Fifth Third does not maintain active trading on both venues by the end of 2026, the bank could request consolidation back to a single exchange listing without regulatory barrier.
