DecibelTrade now offers 75 or more spot and perpetual markets on the Aptos blockchain, according to an announcement from the protocol. The expansion combines newly launched spot trading with the platform's existing perpetual contracts, up from 26 markets in May.

The exchange has processed 29 million trades and $7.5 billion in total volume since Aptos mainnet launched in October 2023. DecibelTrade operates as a fully onchain venue with 24-hour trading access. Each trade on the platform burns APT, the network's native token, creating a buy-and-burn mechanism tied to exchange activity.

DecibelTrade launched perpetual contracts on Aptos in May 2024 with support for 26 markets. The platform's volume grew from $5 billion in August to the current $7.5 billion figure, a trajectory that placed it among the larger onchain derivatives venues by trading activity. The spot market addition extends the platform's offerings beyond perpetuals into cash trading for immediate settlement.

Aptos designed the network to process high transaction throughput, and trading volumes show the protocol's focus on onchain finance applications. DecibelTrade's expansion to spot markets follows similar moves by other Aptos-native platforms seeking to capture both derivatives and spot trading volume on a single venue.

Platforms offering both spot and perpetual products allow users to move between cash and derivative positions without transferring funds to separate venues. DecibelTrade's addition of spot markets to an existing perpetual exchange removes this friction point in trader workflows.

DecibelTrade's growth from 26 to 75+ markets in four months represents a 188% increase in product count. The platform's $7.5 billion cumulative volume since mainnet inception puts it in the mid-tier range for onchain trading venues by total activity since inception, though daily volume figures for the current period remain publicly unreported.

The number to track is whether DecibelTrade sustains the volume growth rate that carried it from $5 billion to $7.5 billion in one month, or whether the spot market launch flattens that acceleration.
