Bitmine Immersion Technologies said its Ethereum holdings total 5.81 million tokens as of August 9, according to an announcement. The company's total crypto and liquid assets reached $11.6 billion.
The 5.81 million ETH represents approximately 4.9 percent of Ethereum's total circulating supply of roughly 120 million tokens. At current prices, the Ethereum position alone accounts for roughly half of the stated $11.6 billion total, meaning the company holds additional digital assets and cash reserves of around $5.8 billion across other holdings.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies operates as a crypto treasury and mining infrastructure company. The scale of its ETH position places it among the largest known single holders of Ethereum outside of exchange reserves and protocol-related wallets. Major institutional holders have disclosed similar or larger positions in recent years, including Grayscale's Ethereum Trust, which holds multiple millions of ETH through its flagship product.
The announcement arrives as institutional accumulation of major digital assets has continued through 2026. Companies holding significant on-chain positions typically disclose quarterly or semi-annually to provide transparency to shareholders and market participants tracking capital allocation in crypto.
Bitmine said the holdings represent its core strategy of acquiring and holding digital assets alongside its mining and technology operations. The company did not specify how the $11.6 billion breaks down between Ethereum, other digital assets, and cash equivalents.
