Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs attracted combined net inflows of $305.2M on August 5, with BTC recording $244.4M and ETH $60.8M, according to flow data tracked by Farside Investors.
The inflows mark a continuation of institutional demand for spot cryptocurrency ETFs in the United States. Bitcoin's share of the day's total inflows reached 80 percent, a ratio consistent with the relative size of the two largest asset classes in the institutional crypto market.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs have drawn cumulative inflows exceeding $50 billion since launch in January 2024, making them among the fastest-adopted new financial products in history. Ethereum spot ETFs, approved in July 2024, have accumulated roughly $10 billion in inflows since their inception. Daily flow figures fluctuate based on institutional positioning, market conditions and options expiration cycles, with August seeing typical summer trading volumes across traditional markets.

The August 5 inflows arrived as Bitcoin traded in the $55,000 to $65,000 range through much of August 2026, while Ethereum traded between $2,200 and $2,600.
KuCoin reported the flow figures on August 6. The data comes from Farside Investors, an independent tracker of US cryptocurrency ETF flows.
Bitcoin's $244.4M daily inflow represents roughly 0.5 percent of its total inflow since spot ETF launch. Ethereum's $60.8M represents about 0.6 percent of its post-launch cumulative total. The ratio between the two, approximately 4 to 1 in Bitcoin's favor, matches the historical capital allocation pattern between the two largest crypto assets in institutional portfolios.
