Autodesk raised its fiscal 2027 billings forecast to $8.575 billion to $8.65 billion following the completion of its MaintainX acquisition on August 3, 2026, according to an SEC filing posted August 27.
The new guidance represents an increase from the company's May projection of $8.505 billion to $8.58 billion. MaintainX, a cloud-based maintenance and asset management software platform, is expected to contribute approximately $70 million in billings to the revised outlook, people familiar with the deal said.
Autodesk announced the MaintainX deal in May 2026 as part of a broader effort to expand beyond its core design and engineering software into operations and maintenance workflows. The acquisition adds capabilities in predictive maintenance and mobile-first field service management to Autodesk's portfolio, which generated $6.31 billion in total revenue in fiscal 2026.
The $70 million contribution from MaintainX represents roughly 1.2 percent of the midpoint of the raised guidance range. The deal closed in early August rather than at the start of the fiscal year.
Autodesk's billings metric differs from revenue recognition under accounting standards; it captures cash invoiced to customers during the period, including multi-year subscription contracts. The company uses billings guidance as a leading indicator of customer commitment and recurring revenue strength.
An 8-K filing confirmed the MaintainX close and detailed the company's updated financial projections. The deal price and acquisition structure had been disclosed in earlier investor materials, though the company did not restate those specifics in the August filing.
