Zoom Communications' holding in artificial intelligence startup Anthropic has grown to $3.13 billion in value, according to Anthropic's Series H funding round that valued the company at $965 billion post-money in May 2026.
Zoom invested $51 million in Anthropic in May 2023, followed by a $46 million follow-on investment. The current valuation represents a roughly 30-fold increase from Zoom's initial $97 million combined commitment to the AI company over three years.

Anthropichas built Claude, a large language model that competes directly with OpenAI's GPT-4 and Google's Gemini. The Series H round drew investment from major institutions backing frontier AI development. Zoom's stake now represents material exposure to one of the three dominant contenders in generative AI, alongside its core video communications business.

The valuation gain comes as major software and enterprise vendors have rushed to embed AI capabilities into their platforms. Zoom has integrated Claude into Zoom Workplace through a partnership with Anthropic, giving users access to AI-powered features like meeting summarization and draft composition. The stake allows Zoom to participate in Anthropic's upside while maintaining a strategic partnership.
Zoom's $3.13 billion stake is worth roughly 0.32% of Anthropic at the Series H valuation, making it a significant but minority holding in a company that has raised capital at accelerating valuations. Anthropic has not disclosed the total amount raised in Series H or the identities of all investors.
Zoom reported the valuation of its Anthropic holdings in its most recent earnings filing. Bank of America analysts had estimated Zoom's stake at approximately $3 billion before the Series H close, placing the current figure within market expectations.
If Anthropic pursues a public offering or secondary sale at a higher valuation, Zoom's paper gains could expand further. Zoom holds a concentrated position in a single AI startup rather than diversifying across multiple bets.
