XRP exchange-traded funds saw inflows totaling $15.4 million across four consecutive trading days through August 4, according to flow data. The streak marks sustained institutional demand for the token despite XRP trading at $1.08 at the time.
ETF inflows and spot price movements do not always move in tandem, particularly in emerging asset classes where trading venues, custodial structures, and investor bases differ sharply between traditional and crypto markets. XRP ETFs in the United States track the token's value but execute through separate order flow and custody arrangements from direct cryptocurrency exchanges.
The four-day inflow total of $15.4 million is modest by traditional equity ETF standards. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF, the largest stock ETF by assets, records inflows in the hundreds of millions on routine trading days. For context, Bitcoin ETFs in the United States have seen single-day inflows exceed $1 billion since their January 2024 launch, though these represent a far larger installed base.
XRP ETF products have expanded access for institutional and retail investors unable or unwilling to hold cryptocurrency directly. The inflow streak comes as the cryptocurrency market has recovered from earlier summer weakness. Bitcoin traded above $63,000 on August 4, and Ethereum above $2,400, both well above their lows from late July.

The token has traded in a range between roughly $1.00 and $2.70 over the past twelve months. Ripple, the principal backer of the XRP Ledger, has faced regulatory scrutiny regarding its past role in selling XRP tokens and the token's classification as a security or commodity. A December 2023 settlement with the SEC required Ripple to pay $125 million in penalties, though it did not require the company to delist XRP sales or curtail future network activity.
XRP ETF inflows represent a small fraction of total capital deployed into crypto products. Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs continue to dominate institutional crypto exposure by assets under management. The four-day inflow window alone saw less capital directed to XRP products than Bitcoin ETFs typically absorb in a single trading session.
The persistence of the inflow streak over multiple days indicates consistent buying pressure rather than a single large trade or rebalance event. Whether the inflows continue beyond August 4 and whether they correlate with broader shifts in XRP's institutional adoption remain open questions for market participants tracking the token's position among alternative crypto assets.
