Stellar's tokenized real-world asset ecosystem added holders at an accelerating pace over the past month, with RWA.xyz tracker data showing 19,081 RWA holders as of Aug. 22, up 3.73% from the prior 30-day period. The network's total distributed asset value climbed 8.75% to $3.29 billion in the same window.

The network has positioned itself as a settlement layer for tokenized assets outside the Ethereum and Solana ecosystems, competing with chains like Polygon and Avalanche for custody of institutional and alternative assets. Stellar's distributed ledger protocol has long targeted cross-border payments and token issuance. The growth metrics align with broader expansion in the RWA category, where on-chain real-world asset holdings reached an estimated $14 billion across all chains by mid-2026, up from roughly $3 billion two years prior.

Stablecoin adoption on Stellar also accelerated, with holder counts rising 2.55% to 699,620. Stablecoin holders now outnumber RWA holders by a ratio of 36.6 to 1 on the network. The two metrics track separately on RWA.xyz, which catalogs both categories as activity indicators for the asset-tokenization ecosystem.

Stellar Development Foundation has not issued a statement on the growth figures. The chain continues to integrate with traditional financial infrastructure; major anchor institutions have launched stablecoin issuance on Stellar's network, though the organization does not name institutional partners in public disclosures. Daily transaction volume and unique wallet counts remain tracked by third-party analytics rather than reported directly by SDF.

The 8.75% gain in distributed asset value over 30 days exceeds the growth rate of RWA holders themselves by 5.02 percentage points. Existing holders are adding to positions or new entrants are deploying larger capital amounts. Stellar's RWA base remains significantly smaller than Ethereum's RWA ecosystem, where on-chain real-world assets exceed $10 billion, though growth rates have been comparable year-to-date.

The tracker to watch is whether Stellar's RWA holder base maintains the 3.73% monthly growth rate into September.
