Real-world asset token holders reached 1.3 million on July 24, with new accounts being added at a pace significantly faster than prior expansion phases, according to the RWA.xyz live dashboard.
The acceleration began after the 1 million holder milestone in early July. From 1 million to 1.1 million holders took seven days. The next 100,000 accounts arrived in two days, and the jump to 1.3 million required five additional days. Earlier growth phases moved slower: each 100,000-holder increment before the July 9 milestone took at least 15 days, with some requiring months.
RWA tokens grant holders exposure to yields and claims on physical assets, from Treasury bonds to commercial real estate and commodities. The category has grown as institutional investors and treasuries have explored on-chain settlement and composability. The Bitcoin Foundation noted in a recent update on DeFi infrastructure that RWA platforms are among the fastest-growing segments by on-chain transaction volume.

Dashboard data shows cumulative holder growth but does not isolate whether new accounts came from retail adoption, integration partnerships, or institutional platform deployments. The two-day span for the 1.1 million to 1.2 million increment is unusually compact; comparable major token onboarding events typically span 7 to 21 days across platforms.
Prior RWA platforms have experienced similar acceleration curves when integrations with major exchanges or custodians launched. The velocity of the next 100,000-holder milestone from 1.3 million onward will determine whether this acceleration is durable or temporary.
The number that decides whether this growth continues at current velocity is the speed of the next 100,000-holder milestone from 1.3 million onward.
