Robinhood's tokenized stock tokens for Apple, Nvidia, Tesla and the S&P 500 ETF are now live for trading on the Hedera blockchain, executable through the Hashpack wallet and settled in either Circle's USDC stablecoin or Hedera's native HBAR token.
The launch represents the first time equities-backed digital assets have reached material distribution through a consumer wallet on Hedera. Robinhood, already a distributor of spot bitcoin and ethereum through its app to 23 million account holders, is extending that model into tokenized real-world assets via a layer of blockchain infrastructure rather than its own custody.

Hashpack, Hedera's most-used non-custodial wallet, serves as the point of entry. SODAX, a Hedera-based execution layer for RWA trading, provides the settlement and order-matching rails. The tokens themselves are issued by Robinhood and bridge the gap between traditional equity exposure and on-chain liquidity, allowing users to hold fractional shares of AAPL, NVDA, TSLA and SPY in self-custody across the Hedera network.
Hedera's throughput and settlement speed, capable of 10,000 transactions per second with finality in under 5 seconds, address a technical constraint that has slowed RWA adoption on slower blockchains. Ethereum's Lido, Aave and Curve dominate DeFi by transaction volume, but equity-backed tokens have remained niche partly because existing staking and lending protocols offer little advantage over traditional brokerages for equity exposure. Robinhood's move offloads custody and settlement to blockchain infrastructure instead of centralizing them.
The token offerings include fractional share support, meaning users can purchase sub-dollar amounts of TSLA or AAPL denominated in USDC or HBAR without account minimums. Robinhood previously tokenized equities through Polygon's blockchain in 2024 but saw limited adoption; the Hedera deployment follows a shift in the company's infrastructure strategy toward networks with faster finality and lower congestion.
Robinhood's equity token volume on Hedera and SODAX will need to exceed $100 million in weekly trading to establish viability against Robinhood's core app. Hashpack currently processes roughly $8 million in daily stablecoin transfers and holds 180,000 active wallets, a scale sufficient to surface the tokens to a material user base but small relative to Robinhood's retail footprint of 23 million. If the tokens do not reach $10 million in cumulative trading volume within 30 days, Robinhood will likely deprioritize the Hedera distribution in favor of a broader rollout through its native app, where the same assets would require no wallet or blockchain interaction.
