Ripple has voted in favor of the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment on the XRP Ledger, according to a post on X. The proposal bundles fixes for Single Asset Vaults, Lending Protocol, automated market makers, Checks and other ledger features. Eight of the 35 validators in the ledger's Unique Node List currently support the amendment.
Mainnet activation requires 80 percent support, or 28 validators, sustained for two consecutive weeks. At the current stage, the amendment has secured 23.5 percent of the required validator threshold. Node operators are required to upgrade their software before the amendment activates on mainnet to avoid becoming amendment blocked, a state in which a node cannot process transactions that rely on the new feature.
The XRPL 3.3.0 upgrade targets improved network performance and readiness for institutional deployments. Ripple's vote places the company among early backers of the bundled fix set but does not guarantee passage. The two-week consecutive voting window allows validators time to assess the changes.
Amendments to the XRP Ledger require coordinated validator consensus because the network operates as a consensus-driven system rather than proof-of-work or proof-of-stake chains. Ripple operates one of the ledger's validators but does not unilaterally control upgrades. The company has supported major upgrades to the ledger in the past, including the 2023 Hooks amendment proposal, which faced extended voting timelines before reaching consensus.
The fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment addresses technical debt and feature parity across the ledger's evolving protocol layers. Early validator support typically accelerates passage, but no amendment has ever failed after reaching majority support for the full two-week window. The amendment is now in its early adoption phase, when node operators typically assess operational impact.
Ripple's endorsement carries weight with institutional validators and infrastructure providers, though the company holds no special voting privileges. The amendment's path to mainnet activation will depend on whether additional validators move from neutral to supportive positions in the coming weeks. If the amendment does not reach 28 validators by the end of the voting window, it will not activate and will require resubmission.
