Ondo Finance announced it has reached $4 billion in total value locked across its platform, with more than 1 million cumulative holders, according to a post on X. The figure represents the scale of the tokenized asset protocol roughly two years after its launch.
The $4B TVL includes $1.3 billion in tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds, the company said. Tokenized securities have drawn institutional capital as blockchain platforms offer 24/7 settlement and fractional ownership of traditional assets. Ondo's model wraps exposure to real-world securities inside on-chain tokens, allowing holders to trade and hold positions natively on decentralized infrastructure.
Ondo Finance launched in 2023 and has built compliance infrastructure to offer regulated tokenized products in jurisdictions including the United States. The protocol's vault structure lets users deposit capital into pools backing tokenized Treasuries, money market funds, and equity baskets. Each product carries its own smart contract audit and regulatory review.
The 1 million holder milestone includes retail and institutional participation. Ondo does not distinguish between active traders and long-term holders in its count, meaning the figure includes addresses that may hold minimal positions alongside major allocators. The protocol operates across multiple blockchains including Ethereum and Polygon.

Rivalry among tokenized asset platforms has intensified as established finance infrastructure providers enter the space. Ondo competes directly with protocols offering similar wrapped securities and also faces indirect pressure from traditional brokers integrating blockchain settlement. The $4B TVL places Ondo among the largest platforms in the tokenized real-world asset category, which has grown to exceed $10 billion in total value locked across all protocols by mid-2026.
Ondo's growth tracks a broader shift in how institutions access yield and traditional assets on-chain. Money market tokenization, which Ondo pioneered for decentralized platforms, has become a primary entry point for risk-averse capital moving onto blockchain infrastructure. The protocol's focus on regulated products and compliance has positioned it as an on-ramp for institutional capital uncomfortable with purely speculative token designs.
The company has raised funding from venture capital firms and maintains partnerships with custodians and prime brokers to settle underlying assets. If Ondo sustains its current growth trajectory and expands product coverage into additional asset classes, the protocol's TVL could approach $10 billion within 24 months, though market conditions and regulatory clarity will determine velocity.
