Liqi Digital Assets and XDC Network have increased their tokenization commitment to $2 billion through 2028, quadrupling the original $500 million target they set at the start of their partnership in April 2025.
The expansion follows completion of the initial $500 million goal in 15 months, nine months ahead of schedule. The announcement came September 9, 2026, and represents a shift in the pace of credit tokenization deployment on blockchain infrastructure in Brazil's emerging digital assets market.

Liqi Digital Assets operates as a tokenization platform focused on credit products and real-world assets in Brazil. XDC Network is a blockchain designed for trade finance and enterprise use cases. The original partnership, struck in April 2025, targeted $500 million in tokenized credit volume within 24 months. The completion in 15 months indicates faster-than-expected adoption of tokenized credit products on the XDC chain.

The $2 billion commitment through 2028 extends the timeline by approximately 18 months beyond the original April 2027 target date and increases the volume four-fold. No breakdown of annual targets or asset types within the expanded commitment has been disclosed.
Brazil has emerged as a primary testing ground for tokenized credit and real-world assets on blockchain. The Central Bank of Brazil has permitted digital asset infrastructure development, and multiple platforms have launched credit tokenization pilots. The Liqi-XDC expansion occurs as institutional adoption of blockchain-based credit products accelerates across emerging markets, particularly in jurisdictions where traditional finance infrastructure constraints create demand for alternative settlement channels.
The four-fold increase from the original $500 million target means Liqi and XDC Network expect demand to grow materially faster than their initial April 2025 projections. Whether this acceleration stems from actual market pull or a more aggressive internal forecast will determine whether the $2 billion target through 2028 becomes achievable or requires further revision.
The figure to watch is whether Liqi and XDC Network reach $1 billion in tokenized credit volume by mid-2027, the halfway point to their 2028 deadline.
