Kalshi, a prediction market platform, has made its market data feed available in real time through DoubleZero Edge, a data infrastructure service operated by the DoubleZero Foundation. The feed delivers Level 1 and Level 2 order book data over fiber network with reduced latency, covering Kalshi's sports event contracts and crypto perpetual futures.

The launch expands real-time infrastructure options for traders and market participants building on prediction market data. Kalshi operates under a Commodity Futures Trading Commission approval and has grown its contract offerings to cover elections, sports outcomes, and cryptocurrency price movements. DoubleZero Edge operates as a neutral infrastructure provider for low-latency market data across digital asset and derivatives platforms.

The announcement comes as prediction markets have drawn increased institutional attention following regulatory clarity in several jurisdictions. Kalshi expanded its offerings in 2024 after receiving conditional approval from the CFTC to list event contracts alongside its existing presidential election markets. The platform's crypto perpetual futures products launched earlier in 2026.

Level 1 and Level 2 data structures differ in granularity. Level 1 shows the best bid and ask prices; Level 2 displays the full order book depth, allowing traders to assess liquidity and potential price movement across multiple price levels. Fiber network delivery reduces latency compared to standard internet protocols, a feature institutional traders and high-frequency market makers prioritize.

DoubleZero Foundation has positioned Edge as infrastructure for multiple asset classes and derivatives platforms. The fiber-based approach requires direct physical connections between data centers and trading venues, constraining its availability to venues with such connections in place. Kalshi's integration shows the platform has installed or plans to install such connections at exchanges or data centers where its order matching engine operates.

Prediction market platforms have competed on data quality and accessibility as they mature. Real-time feeds attract algorithmic traders and market-making firms that depend on accurate, low-latency price signals to manage risk and execute strategies. Access to order book depth through Level 2 data allows these participants to model liquidity and slippage more precisely than best-price feeds alone.

Kalshi has integrated real-time data infrastructure as it serves professional market participants alongside retail traders. DoubleZero Edge's neutral positioning allows it to serve multiple prediction market and derivatives platforms without preference, similar to how traditional equity and futures market data providers operate across multiple exchanges. If Kalshi sustains its user and contract volume growth through 2026, demand for low-latency data access is likely to expand.
