Intuit posted fourth-quarter revenue of $4.354 billion, exceeding the consensus estimate of $4.268 billion, with adjusted earnings per share of $4.03 against a forecast of $3.58, according to the company's earnings announcement.

The full-year fiscal 2027 guidance, however, sits below Wall Street expectations. Intuit projected adjusted EPS between $22.88 and $23.12, compared with a consensus of $27.32. Revenue guidance of $23.3 billion to $23.5 billion trails the $23.72 billion estimate. First-quarter guidance calls for adjusted EPS of $2.44 to $2.48 versus a $4.04 forecast, and revenue of $4.29 billion to $4.31 billion against a $4.36 billion estimate.

Quarter-over-quarter results showed strength across most operating segments. Global Business Solutions, the largest unit, delivered $3.4 billion in revenue, up 14 percent year-over-year. Online Ecosystem grew 17 percent to $2.6 billion. Consumer segment revenue rose 14 percent to $930 million. Credit Karma, Intuit's financial services platform, increased 16 percent to $743 million. TurboTax, the tax preparation product, posted $153 million, up 3 percent. ProTax revenue reached $34 million, growing 6 percent.

Intuit increased its dividend 15 percent to $1.38 per share, payable October 16, 2026. The company repurchased $5.5 billion in stock during the quarter, nearly double the prior-year period, leaving $7.9 billion in remaining authorization under its current program.

Executives framed the results as progress on what they called AI-driven platform strategy. Intuit stated in its announcement that it aims to win "as an AI-driven expert platform by creating a financial system of intelligence that increasingly does the work for consumers, businesses, and accountants." The company added it was taking "a disciplined approach to investments as we scale our Big Bets and accelerate customer growth."

Intuit's adjusted EPS miss on fiscal 2027 full-year guidance runs 16.5 percent below consensus. Q4 achieved operating beat while FY27 guidance fell substantially short. Management is modeling slower growth or higher investment in the year ahead, or both. The gap between quarterly operational performance and full-year EPS guide will determine whether investors view the guidance as conservative setup or early demand softening in small-business and consumer finance segments.
