Hyperscale Data sold approximately 685 bitcoin for $43 million and used part of the proceeds to reduce debt by roughly $30 million, according to an announcement. The company retains around 275 bitcoin and plans to direct remaining capital toward development of its Michigan data center.
The sale price implies an average execution of roughly $62,774 per bitcoin, indicating execution during a period when spot prices traded in that range. Hyperscale Data, which operates colocation and infrastructure services for digital asset businesses, has now liquidated significant portions of its bitcoin holdings over successive transactions to manage debt levels and fund expansion.
The company's remaining 275 bitcoin holdings represent roughly 28.4% of the original combined position before the two recent sales. In July, Hyperscale Data sold 100 bitcoin in a separate transaction. The debt reduction of approximately $30 million shows the company prioritized liability management alongside funding capital expenditure.

Michigan data center development has become a focal point for hyperscale operators seeking power capacity and cooling infrastructure in regions with industrial legacy assets and lower operational costs. Hyperscale Data used bitcoin sale proceeds to fund physical buildout rather than equity raises or debt financing.
The transaction comes as bitcoin spot prices remain at levels above 2023 figures, creating windows for holders to execute sales without liquidating at depressed valuations. Infrastructure operators in the digital asset space have used similar periods to reduce debt and fund expansion, balancing asset holdings against near-term capital needs.
Hyperscale Data's retained 275 bitcoin still represents material exposure to price movements, and the company has stated a focus on data center buildout that will require ongoing capital through 2025. The pace and scale of these sales will shape how much bitcoin-denominated balance sheet the company carries as it scales infrastructure assets.
