Gemini has signed a letter of intent with Apex Fintech Solutions to distribute crypto event contracts through Apex's brokerage network, according to an announcement on August 24. The arrangement will route Gemini's prediction markets to Apex's futures commission merchants and their downstream broker clients, using Gemini Titan as the execution and clearing layer.

Apex operates one of the largest independent clearing and settlement networks in US equities and derivatives, with relationships spanning retail and institutional brokers. Gemini Titan is the regulated venue where Gemini offers its crypto event contracts, which allow participants to trade binary outcomes on cryptocurrency price movements and other blockchain-related events. The partnership gives Apex's network participants direct access to Gemini's product suite without requiring separate platform accounts.

The deal is non-exclusive on Gemini's side, meaning the exchange can sign similar arrangements with other distributors. Apex has built its model by connecting disparate broker networks to execution venues across asset classes. Adding crypto event contracts extends that model into prediction markets, a segment that has grown as retail and institutional traders seek regulated venues to hedge on blockchain developments and price actions.

Gemini has worked to expand distribution since its 2023 acquisition of Reveal Markets, which brought prediction market infrastructure in-house. The Apex partnership represents a channel to institutional and semi-institutional clients who may lack direct relationships with crypto-native platforms. Gemini's event contracts carry regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which oversees US derivatives exchanges.

Apex's infrastructure sits between traditional finance rails and crypto products. Its network includes FCMs regulated by the CFTC, which must approve any broker offering derivatives to end clients. The letter of intent typically requires negotiation of final terms, regulatory review, and integration testing before contracts activate on the distribution channel.
