Digital Asset and Boostry said they will launch a multi-chain wallet service on Canton Network by the end of 2026, extending institutional access to onchain finance across Japan's digital capital markets.

The partnership targets institutions in Japan's settlement and capital markets infrastructure. Canton Network is Digital Asset's blockchain platform designed for enterprise and regulated financial workflows. Boostry operates Japan's digital securities exchange and settlement system, backed by Nomura Holdings.

According to the announcement, the wallet will allow institutional participants to manage digital assets across multiple blockchains within a single interface. The service integrates with Canton Network's permissioned ledger model, which requires network validators to approve participants before transaction settlement.

Digital Asset has positioned Canton Network as infrastructure for central banks, financial institutions and regulated exchanges seeking onchain settlement without public-chain exposure. The platform supports tokenized securities, foreign exchange settlement and intraday liquidity management. Boostry's integration marks the second major Japanese financial institution to adopt Canton after the Bank of Japan's involvement in a 2024 pilot project on wholesale central bank digital currency mechanics.

Japan's Financial Services Agency has encouraged digital securities platforms and onchain settlement as part of its digital finance strategy. Boostry received FSA approval for its digital securities exchange in 2023. The Canton partnership extends that infrastructure to wallet custody and cross-chain asset management for institutional clients.

Digital Asset did not disclose transaction capacity, adoption timelines or specific use cases in the announcement. The wallet deployment by year-end 2026 places the launch within Japan's broader timeline for digital securities infrastructure buildout, though no specific adoption targets were provided.

Boostry and Digital Asset have positioned this as a step toward broader institutional settlement onchain, but neither party disclosed which Japanese financial institutions are already committed to using the wallet service. The number of early-stage deployments on Canton Network remains undisclosed.
