Broadridge's distributed ledger platform for repurchase agreements handled $8.0 trillion in trading volume during July, the company reported. The figure places the month as the second-highest in the platform's operating history.

The platform achieved nearly $9.0 trillion in December 2025, making last month's volume a modest decline from that peak. Broadridge has not disclosed comparable monthly figures for periods between December 2025 and July 2026.

Broadridge Financial Solutions operates one of the largest post-trade infrastructure networks in institutional finance, serving broker-dealers, asset managers, and custodians across equities, fixed income, and derivatives. Its distributed ledger repo system digitalizes settlement and collateral management for short-term lending, a market segment that traditionally relies on phone calls, manual booking, and overnight clearing cycles. The repo market itself exceeds $2 trillion in daily notional volume in the United States alone, according to Federal Reserve data.

The company's ledger platform began processing live repo trades in late 2024 and has since onboarded major financial institutions as participants. The system competes with blockchain-based alternatives backed by JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup, as well as traditional software providers building their own distributed settlement layers. Broadridge's announcement does not specify the number of active participants or the proportion of total repo volume its platform captures.

July's $8.0 trillion monthly run rate implies annualized volume approaching $96 trillion if sustained. The December 2025 result of $9.0 trillion reflects year-end concentration in repo flows. Broadridge has not issued forward guidance on adoption targets or market-share expectations.

The company reports platform metrics through press releases tied to calendar periods but does not file repo ledger data with regulators or publish real-time dashboards. Verification of these figures depends on Broadridge's own disclosures, limiting independent audit by market participants. The SEC and Federal Reserve have not yet issued formal rules requiring distributed ledger platforms to report volume or participant data, leaving adoption measurement to company statements.

Broadridge's December 2025 peak of $9.0 trillion remains the platform's highest monthly total on record, meaning July 2026 volume declined approximately 11 percent from that benchmark. The company has not disclosed interim monthly figures between those two periods. If Broadridge publishes August 2026 volume within the next two weeks, the pattern of monthly swings will clarify whether the platform is consolidating at the $8 trillion range or losing institutional traction after the year-end rush.
